I'm A Little Behind

Well once again it has been awhile since I have taken some time to fill y'all in on what has been going on in the life of Ryan and Tracie. We went to Mississippi for Thanksgiving this year, it was a good visit. Kelli got married on the 15th of November so we were able to attend the wedding, it was a good ceremony. Thanksgiving was good, they really go all out with the food, we had enough food to feed an army. The day after Thanksgiving Jason and I went to Starkville Mississippi to watch the Mississippi State - Ole Miss football game, Jason had a Special Assignment there, he is on Honor Guard and they posted the Colors at the start of the game so he was able to get me a ticket, that was fun. Since it is so close to Christmas I will keep this one short and do this again after the big day. I hope Y'all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just A Little Fun

Once again its been awhile since I have updated our blog. I just keep thinking that there isn't much to put on it so I keep putting it off, but a couple of weeks ago I was trying out my new computer and I was playing with Photobooth and I got Lynn, Sydney and Karlie to play with me so I thought that I would put a couple of pictures on the blog so everyone can share the fun. The Pheasant Hunt starts tomorrow so Lynn and his family is coming out and Dad, Mclayne, Patrick Arko and I are going to go out to Hickens Pheasant Farm to see what we can get into, Hopefully a couple of Pheasants. Dad and I went fishing with Dad's friend Dean Brough the other day, it was fun to get out and fish again, it had been awhile, dad and I both caught a pretty nice sized rainbow trout, about 17 inches long. I sure would of liked to catch more of them. I guess we will have to go back and try again some day soon. Well I better run but I will try to do better. The next big event for Tracie and I - going to Mississippi for Kelli and Kaleb's wedding and Thanksgiving. Love Y'all and goodbye for now.

Our Trip To Boise

Hello all, I thought that I would take some time to let you know how our trip to Boise went. Tracie and I drove to Salt Lake on Tuesday night to try to cut our trip down a little on Wednesday, we got a room at the Red Lion and our room just happened to be under the "Sky Club" so we could hear the beat of the music for half of the night. Wednesday we got up and ate breakfast and then headed to Boise, it took us about 5 hours to drive from Salt Lake, it really wasn't that bad of a trip. On our way Jason called and said that the plane they were suppose to come on was delayed so he would be getting in later than first planned, well it ended up being 3 hours late, so Tracie and I had to find something to do to waste time so we found the Sierra Trading Post Outlet (sells outdoors stuff) and looked around there for awhile, lots of nice things to buy just not things that we needed right then. Well we also found a Cabelas, I needed to get a couple of things so that I could go Muzzleloader Deer hunting on Saturday so we went and walked around and I bought some Black Powder, Bullets and some new Binoculars, I have been wanting some new binoculars for a long time so Tracie and I broke down and bought me a pair. When Jason got into town we met him at his hotel and we went out on the town, Boise is a nice place but not very vistitor friendly, it is easy to get lost, we rode around for about an hour trying to find the mall because it seemed to have all of the food places around it, finally we found Lonestar about 15 minutes before they closed, so we went in and had a steak. Thursday we just kind of hung out, It was good to see Jason and be able to hang out with him, we seem to have a real good time when we are all together. Jason had to leave with the team at 3:30 pm so we said our goodbyes. Tracie and I went to the game (Jason got us tickets) it was fun, University of Southern Mississippi got their tail whooped. After the game Jason flew out with the team and Tracie and I stayed in Boise. Friday morning we got up and headed for home, our trip home lasted about 7 hours, it wasn't as bad of a drive as everyone made it sound, Tracie and I had a real good time, it made it worth the trip to see Jason, even if it was only for a few hours.

Just an Update

Hello all, It has been awhile since Tracie and I have checked in. Not a whole lot has been going on in our little world. Tracie has started back to school and I have just been enjoying not having to be back in school, it is great. Wednesday we are headed to Boise Idaho to visit with Jason (Tracie's Brother), he is coming up with the University of Southern Mississippi's football team for their game against Boise State, he gets to be their big bad security man. It will be good to see him and get to go to the game. Dad, Tracie and I tore into our front lawn again, this time we got the hump dug up and put the grass seed down, now we are just waiting to see if the grass will grow, that is if I can remember to keep watering it, Tracie and I are not very good waters. I hope everyone is doing great, we love y'all.

Three Girls and a Guy

This past week has been fun and full of adventure. Tracie's sisters (Kayla and Kelli) came from Mississippi to visit us and see how we live. The girls spent Thursday shopping for a wedding dress for Kelli who will be getting married in November. Friday we all piled into the truck and headed to Flaming Gorge to show them that, when we got home from that trip I played softball in the UBIC softball tournament. Saturday was some more softball followed by a night sitting on the hill listening to Elvis, Madonna, Garth Brooks, Elton John, Etc. (The Legends) and watching fireworks. Sunday Night after the rain storm we got, we loaded the truck with sleeping bags and a tent and headed to Uinta Canyon to spend the night, hoping the rain had passed for the night. Mom, Dad, and Tyler Lisonbee came up and we cooked tinfoil dinners in the fire pit and then ate some smores. When we woke up (Kayla, Kelli, Tracie and I were the only ones that spent the night) we walked to the river to try to catch a fish. It was fun to watch the girls learn to fly fish, they are actually pretty good for beginners. We had a great time. After we got home and all cleaned up we went to the golf course with Austin and Mason to hit range balls. Hitting range balls was fun, I hate to tell everyone, we all need a few golf lessons. Sorry Girls. After all of that days activities we had worked up a big appetite so we went and enjoyed some of dads dutch oven chicken and potatoes, boy did they hit the spot. Tuesday night the girls and I went bowling, talk about an adventure, it was a good time, I'm suprised no one got hurt, with Tracie throwing the ball the wrong way and all. :) Wednesday Kelli and Kayla had to go home, Tracie and I hated to see them leave, but are very grateful we had the chance to have them come and stay with us. We have an AWESOME time Kayla and Kelli, I'm glad that I could spend this time with them to get to grow closer to them, we miss you already. Come Back Soon and bring whom ever you can get to come. Love Y'all.

Pictures of the Fire

Here are a few pictures that Tracie and I took on our way camping and home from camping. It is so sad to see the damage that took place. I wish the pictures could show the real damage that was done. It had rained for a couple of days before we went camping and because all of the vegetation had been destroyed there was areas that had started to wash away. I was suprised how much of area the fire covered, I had heard the areas it had burnt but until I went through those areas I didn't really have any idea.

It's Official

It's official, Tracie is now an RN. Congratulations to you Tracie. She took her boards on Friday the 13th and said that the test was very hard, she said it had lots of drug questions on it. On Monday the 16th she logged onto the computer and to her delight saw "Passed", what a relief that was to her. I finally got my Diploma in the mail, 2 months after graduation, before I could get a picture Tracie took her Diploma and mine to get them framed so I will have to put that picture up later. Let me tell you, I'm sure glad that I don't have to worry about starting school again in August.

Our New Truck

Can you believe it? It belongs to Tracie and I. Well sort of, we still have to pay for it. On Friday we rode out to Labrum Chevrolet in Heber to look at a used truck that they had called me on, Tracie and I didn't love that truck although it was very nice and in great condition. We started talking to Jeff and Danny and they started looking at new ones to see what kind of price we could get on a new one and this is what they found for us. We are so excited, both Tracie and I said we never thought we would have a new Truck but now we are. I am already planning all of the different things I can do now without having to ask dad to borrow his truck - go to the mountains, go hunting, go fishing, go to the drive-in and my list continues.

Fish On

Tracie finally returned home after being away for two weeks, boy is it hard to have her gone that long. I guess I just take it
for granted that she is always around when I need to see or be
around her. Well I went and picked her up at the airport, after her plane arrived at 2:00 a.m. ( 3 hours late ) It is good to have her home. On the way home we stopped by Cabelas because I wanted to look at their Flyrods - just look - well looking turned into purchasing. I ended up buying a new Sage flyrod and a Cabelas brand reel. I guess we will just call it an early Anniversary present. Well of course now I have a new rod I needed to see if it works. Friday morning I got up and drove to Vernal to go fishing with one of my friends that I play softball with, his In - Laws own some land on the Ashley Creek above Vernal. We fished for about 2 hours and I caught 3 good sized Browns and had another on that ended up getting off. Well I'm glad to report that the new Flyrod works.

Tracie's New Hobby

Hello once again. Tracie went home to Mississippi for two weeks to visit. While there she took some pictures of her sister (Kelli) and her fiance Kaleb with her new camera that Greg gave her. These are just a few of the pictures that she took. They turned out great. We look forward to being able to take this camera places to catch some more of the adventures that we experience. Tracie had a good time using the camera and saving Kelli and Kaleb some money. They are getting married Nov. 15 so they wanted some pictures that would still look good for that time of the year. Tracie is excited to take more pictures of family and some of the places she visits.
While Tracie was home she got to visit with her family, eat lots of good food, paint the bathrooms in her Mama and Daddy's house and she got to ride with her brother Jason in his patrol car. Jason locked up two drunks while Tracie was riding with him; Tracie said it was really funny when Jason told one of the drunk guys that she worked for the federal government. The guy said "SHE'S A FED!" Tracie said Jason has a really tough job sometimes having to deal with those people who don't want a better life and don't care what they do. Anyway she had a really good time hanging out with her family.

Today I got up and spend a little time on Pelican Lake. The weather was good and it was fun to get out and paddle around a little in my float tube. The fishing wasn't very good but I did manage to catch a couple nice bass. Tracie has left me once again and went home to visit her family for a couple of weeks. She has worked very hard over the last year and deserves to have a good break. I'm glad to hear that Darrin and Greg made it to Miami, I hope the moving in goes well for you. I'm trying my darndest to get the family pictures that we had taken at the cabin on this blog but it is kicking my butt because they are in movie form, I will get them on someday hopefully. Have a good day everyone. Love Ya.

Check

Ever since Tracie and I bought our Little Red House we have been talking about what we wanted to do to it to fix it up a little. Remove the red rocks by the road in front of the house, Check. Romove the white fence, Check. New siding and windows - Not Checked. Take out the mound of dirt on the edge of our lawn, Semi Checked. Tracie and I thought we were pretty ambitious so we got the sod cutter and started cutting up our front lawn. After we got started we decided that we jumped into a bigger project then we thought, isn't that usual with any project around the house? I realized that there is a lot of dirt under that little mound. 3 hours later and about 10 square feet later we called it quits for the night and got ready to go to the drive-in with Mom, Alawna, Mason and Austin. This was Tracie's first drive-in experience, and I think I made it through about 30 minutes of the movie and the next thing I know is that everyone is moving and the credits where rolling. Well if shoveling dirt is going to wear me out like that maybe that project will stay Semi Checked for awhile.

Summertime Fun

Well I guess it is time that I Bite the Bullet and finally start writing. I have been trying to think of what to put on this blog because life around Ryan and Tracie's house is pretty repetitive. I finally decided to shed a little light on the great weekend our whole family had at Six Lakes. Mom's suprise birthday party (we hope it was a suprise to her) was great. It was fun to have friends and family from miles away come and show their love for mom. Alawna, that was a great plan and thank you for all the time and hard work you put into planning that great weekend. It was fun to stay in the cabin where the whole family could be together and embark in many adventures (fishing, canoeing, riding bikes, etc.). I don't think that there is an inch on the lake that those canoes didn't cover. There is only one mystery that needs to be solved with those canoes; why when one particular person (we won't mention any names, Darrin) was in a canoe, it seemed to be a little tipsy!!! :) I think that the kids spent most of their time paddling around the lake, they should all have strong arms now. Karlie and Austin spent enough time on the water and in the sun that it left its mark,
Nice look kids.
I think that I am still trying to recover from all of those crazy late night chat sessions. Isn't it crazy what you can find to talk about late at night. Those are times that will be remembered for a very long time. Fishing was another activity that everyone took part in one way or another. Some had success (way to go Ian) and others made a mess (Look at the two MightyFishermen). I wish more time could of been spent on the water trying to lure in the big daddy but the fishing was good and the company was great.
I hope that our family can have many more times together like the ones we shared at the cabin. I love y'all and can't wait until we can spend time together again. Thanks again Alawna, I hope you all had as much fun as I did.
