Dad

and I have found some time to spend doing something that I loved to do as a little boy; going to the mountains and get a truck full of wood. We have been having

a great time, we load the chain saw up and head for the hills. Of course we hope that we don't have to burn this wood but it is a - Just in case - adventure. It is fun remembering all the times we had getting wood all those years ago, loading the big 2 ton trucks of Brad's, the tree falling on Cloyd and Carolyn's truck, getting hit in the head with a lead bar cutting it open, and getting stung by bees, what memories we

have as family and friends. For this trip Dad made a rack to put on the truck so that we could get a good load, so Saturday we loaded the truck up and headed toward Petty Mountain, it has been good spending time in the mountains but most of all with Dad, I'm greatful that he will take time out of his busy schedule to let me drag him to the mountains for a load of wood, I

don't know if he realizes how much it really means to me. When we got home we took the kids with us to unload the truck, they were good little helpers, it took them no time at all to pitch the wood out of the truck into a little pile.
